A Dilemma of SANPark; Selling or Poaching?

Before taking a rest, i just wanna share about the dilemma faced by Kruger National Park/ SANPark (South Africa National Park) . they usually got the funding from government but then due to the budget shortfall, The South Africa's government should remove that budget and shift it to other beneficial program such as education, health care, and also infrastructure to create more job opportunity.

How to continue to supplement the funding for SANParks’ Park development Fund? one of the ways is by selling the rhino. that is allowed by regulation based on South Africa’s National Environmental Management Act (2004). they argue that they are doing screening and selling rhino to a good buyer but in fact it is very difficult to do that. another reason is for funding conservation effort.

 Wildlife activist felt that it was fundamentally wrong to animals from a popular wildlife reserve and sell them in effort of "conservation". they argue that the commercial trade posed a greater threat than poaching did. moreover we can't avoid a rampant poaching because the demand of rhino's horn is very high.

Do U know why the demand for rhino's horn is high? .Dr. Muhammad Ridwaan Gallant said that Although there is no evidence that it has any medicinal value, powdered rhino horn has long been a component of traditional Chinese medicine and is used to treat anything from headaches and fevers to rheumatism and gout. Rumors that a high-ranking official in Vietnam used rhino horn to cure his cancer began circulating a few years back. and Do U know Asian believe that Rhino's horn was a very beneficial for aphrodisiac, OMG !!

Eventough SANPark still have justification to sell Rhino, they said that a poacher is a dangerous criminals. it's in line with islamic perspective. Dr. Muhammad Ridwaan Gallant said that The animals have a right to share earth with humankind. According to the Quran: “There is not an animal (that lives) on earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but (forms part of) communities like you” (Quran 6:38). The fact that animals are a “community” like human beings means that we cannot take away their Haqq (right) given to them by Allah (TA).

To conclude, Selling is "YES" but Poaching is NO for sure, finally... good night to everyone !!
